A bright full moon hangs above layered blue hills and small dark trees, surrounded by a richly textured night sky of swirling bands and star-like marks. The pale moon becomes the quiet centre of the composition while the hills below roll away in soft waves of deep and light blue. This vertical landscape can bring a cool, restful focal point to a bedroom, living room, hallway or study. From across the room the moon and blue hills feel simple and calm; closer viewing reveals the many circular and flowing details that give the sky its depth.
The Bunya Mountains gave me a high-country setting for the night scene. Queensland Parks describes cool mountain country with panoramic views over the plains below, and I used that broad sense of elevation rather than trying to recreate one exact lookout. The dot-style detail is part of my contemporary Aboriginal-inspired visual practice and is used as a personal choice for rhythm, light and atmosphere.
AI-assisted creative tools supported the development of this artwork. I personally selected, refined, verified and prepared the finished digital artwork, upscaled its production master to 14,400 pixels along its long edge and added my digital signature.
