Firelight Pathways

Sweeping bands of orange, red, gold, purple and blue curve across this square abstract, each one carrying its own field of circles and smaller dot-style marks. The movement feels continuous, like ribbons of colour folding around one another without a hard beginning or end. The strong warm-cool contrast gives this piece plenty of presence in a living room, dining area, office or music space. From across the room the flowing pathways dominate; closer up, the circles and small repeated marks add a second layer of detail.

I wanted the colour to behave almost like movement itself, with each band bending into the next while keeping its own character. The circular and dot-style details are part of my contemporary Aboriginal-inspired visual practice and are used here as personal compositional marks for rhythm, balance and energy.

AI-assisted creative tools supported the development of this artwork. I personally selected, refined, verified and prepared the finished digital artwork, upscaled its production master to 14,400 pixels along its long edge and added my digital signature.
