Old Man Pa Kangaroo in Golden Grass

Old Man Pa stands upright in golden grass against a deep blue background, with warm light catching one side of the kangaroo and the tips of the ears. The fuller body view gives this portrait more of a landscape feeling while still keeping the animal as the clear focal point. The blue-gold contrast works naturally in a living room, hallway, bedroom or study where you want Australian wildlife without a busy background. From across the room the upright silhouette is strong; closer in, the grass, fur and edge lighting soften the portrait and add warmth.

I liked the extra space around the kangaroo in this version. Instead of filling the frame with the face, I let the grasses and dark blue field create a quiet blue-and-gold setting, then used the warm light to bring the animal forward. That balance gives the image a calmer, more spacious character than the close studies while keeping the personal Old Man Pa title at its centre.
