Moonlit Orange Hills

A bright circular moon hangs above rolling black, orange and red hills, with a single foreground tree and smaller silhouettes catching the last glow along the horizon. Curving bands of fine white and coloured dots sweep through both sky and ground, giving the whole landscape a strong sense of movement. The warm lower half and dark upper sky make this a dramatic feature for a living room, hallway, study or bedroom. From across the room the moon and tree create a simple, memorable silhouette; close up, the layered bands and tiny repeated marks make the image much more intricate.

I wanted the landscape to feel almost like waves of colour rolling beneath the moon. The tree gives the composition a grounded centre, while the curved bands carry movement through the hills and sky. The Aboriginal-inspired dot-style treatment belongs to my contemporary personal digital practice and is used as a compositional choice for rhythm, depth and atmosphere.

AI-assisted creative tools supported the development of this artwork. I personally selected, refined, verified and prepared the finished digital artwork, upscaled its production master to 14,400 pixels along its long edge and added my digital signature.
