Size and printing
Every edge.
Every detail.
Choose your artwork to see print sizes that keep its complete composition. Its original proportions stay the same at every size.
The right size for your artwork.
Small, Medium and Huge change the resolution of your download. They keep the same artwork shape. Dimensions below describe the printed image; a mount or frame adds to its outside size.
| Image size | Resolution | Composition |
|---|
These sizes follow this artwork’s customer-file dimensions. Your printer may round measurements slightly. Paper, printer settings and viewing distance also affect the result.
Keep the whole picture.
Choose an artwork above to see its own proportions and matching sizes.
A different frame shape needs a different approach.
Use a mount or border to fit the complete image inside a frame with different proportions. Ask Robin if you need a slightly adjusted version; any crop needs a preview so the subject, edges and signature can be checked.
A wide landscape is not automatically available as a square or portrait. Only the versions specifically included in that artwork’s listing are supplied.
Choose the resolution you need.
3,600 pixels on the longest edge
12 inches / 30.48 cm at 300 ppi
7,200 pixels on the longest edge
24 inches / 60.96 cm at 300 ppi
14,400 pixels on the longest edge
48 inches / 121.92 cm at 300 ppi
The shorter edge follows your artwork’s original shape. The calculator uses the selected download size; it does not add detail or change your purchase. Check the actual downloaded file with your printer before printing.
Try the size on your wall.
- Measure the available space and nearby furniture.
- Mark the proposed image size with a paper outline. Step back and view it from your usual position.
- Allow extra space for any mount and frame. Room mockups are visual guides, not measurements.
Before you print.
- Use your purchased customer file. Website previews and screenshots are smaller display images.
- Keep the full composition. Ask your printer to fit the whole image without stretching, automatic cropping or removing the signature. Check margins and bleed with them.
- Confirm image and frame dimensions. The image, paper, mount opening and outer frame can have different measurements.
- Check your chosen resolution. If the calculator shows less than 300 ppi, discuss the intended size and viewing distance with your printer or Robin.
DreamArtGallery currently sells digital downloads. Printing and framing are arranged separately.
