The face of the escarpment catches the light in long orange ledges, while its folds settle into blue-green shadow. A single pale-trunked tree stands on the right, with the low sun glowing through its branches. Closer to the viewer, dry grasses, scattered rocks and small red and blue-grey plants edge a rough track. A thin brightness in the valley adds another layer of distance beneath the substantial ridge.
