Bool Lagoon is a seasonal freshwater wetland within a Ramsar-listed system recognised as important habitat and refuge for waterbirds. I used that wetland atmosphere as the setting for my own contemporary Aboriginal-inspired colour and dot-style rhythm, while keeping the cultural meaning of the marks deliberately unassigned.
