Waterlily Lagoon Reflections

Deep blue water fills the frame while a bright orange-gold reflection stretches down the centre between reeds and floating lily pads. Small pale blooms break the darker surface, giving the wetland scene a quiet rhythm and just enough detail to keep the water feeling alive. The strong vertical reflection makes this a natural feature for a bedroom, living room, hallway or study where calm colour and a little warmth are welcome. From across the room the blue-and-gold contrast reads immediately; closer in, the lily pads, grasses and rippled light become the reward.

I built the composition around the reflected light rather than the plants themselves. The reeds frame the water, the floating pads slow the eye, and the warm centre keeps the darker blue from becoming too cool. I wanted the scene to feel still without becoming static, like the last bright colour moving across water at day's edge.

AI-assisted creative tools supported the development of this artwork. I personally selected, refined, verified and prepared the finished digital artwork, upscaled its production master to 14,400 pixels along its long edge and added my digital signature.
